Content marketing keeps coming up in conversation of late.  You might be wondering, “What exactly is content marketing?”  Wikipedia states, “Content marketing is an umbrella term encompassing all marketing formats that involve the creation or sharing of content for the purpose of engaging current and potential consumer bases.”

Basically, you’re providing content to generate leads, nurture prospects and keep in contact with clients and past clients.  That content is solid real estate information that home buyers, sellers and homeowners can use.  Not fluff.  Not jargon.  Content.  Real, live, useful stuff.

Your content is your brand.  Your brand is your communication.  Your communication is what sets you apart from your competition.  Think about it.  Provide good content and you build your brand.  You build trust, develop relationships and gain customers by providing content.  Informing and educating is your goal and customers reward you with new business when you achieve that goal.

Let us know how you use content marketing in your marketing mix.

Real estate agents who blog and update their websites with thoughtful responses to industry news and news in their local markets will capture more leads through organic search. Think about it, there’s definitely a buyer out there searching for “Best Schools in the D.C. Area,” so generating content around that phrase and others like it, will likely bring that buyer right to your site!
