Social media is great to meet new people and network to find more business.  You interact, share new information, ask questions, get answers.  As a result, these new leads are great, but as you know, they require a lot of time and commitment to finally arrive at the home buying or selling point with you.

While you participate in social media, it’s not only new leads that see your exchanges and comments, but your further-down-the-line prospects, your current and past customers and your referrals.  All of them see the content you produce, the conversations you participate in and are reminded of your relevance to their real estate needs while they read their social media feed!

In the social media realm, your knowledge, leadership and professionalism are on display for all to see and can trigger segments other than leads to engage with you.  Ultimately, this relationship building can encourage more business for you.

Think of the ways that you can invite people who already have a connection to you into your social media realm.  You can continue and deepen the relationship you have and perhaps garner new business or referrals during the process.

How do you engage current and past clients in the social media world?
