Standing Out In The Crowd

You’ve probably heard about those special mailings that go only to CEOs that have an autographed baseball as a tie-in as an enticement to buy a different company’s products or the special bottle of wine shipped to all the head buyers at select corporations as a stand-out marketing method to get these people to switch companies for some product or service.  Sounds great, gets attention…and costs a fortune.

However, you can take the same idea, minus the expense, when you are thinking of your marketing.  What can you do to stand out from the crowd of real estate professionals in your market?  If whatever you send — even a postcard — stands out and can last the test of time with it’s message or significance, the recipient may not only act on it, but save it and post it on display…keeping your contact info close at hand.

Think a bit more on your next marketing piece.  Consider the artful, out-of -the-box qualities of your marketing pieces and how home sellers and home buyers might view them long-term.

One place to start is likely right in your area — with a local artist or graphic designer.  Enlist their help to craft a unique piece of artwork for your next marketing piece that ties in to your marketing goals, catches attention, creates a keeper for the recipient and (most importantly!) brings in business for you…and the artist too!
