Getting back to the topic of direct mail best practices, be sure you are yourself in all your mailings. Sounds easy to do, but take a moment to think about it. If you have a “slick” photo from a professional shoot, be sure it’s not off-putting. You want your image to be friendly, approachable and likable. You want to be conversational in your tone.
Use your mailings to show who you are by outlining how you can help buyers find their perfect home and sellers sell for the best price while you work to answer their most pressing real estate questions. Be transparent. Offer your free, no obligation consultations and advice. You want to build a relationship built on trust. Use direct mail to showcase who you really are without hiding behind a jazzed up, unapproachable image.
To add to the personal touch, consider adding testimonials and a line offering references who don’t mind being contacted by buyers and sellers when they are ready to make a move.
Step back from your direct mail pieces and see what image and message is portrayed. Is it who you really are? And, if you were a buyer and seller who didn’t know you, would you contact you?
