New Opportunities In Changing Times

We are not the only ones who have been advising real estate professionals to not stop marketing.  If you are going to keep your business on track in “good times” you need to make sure you don’t pull everything in during “lean times.”  Even though you might want to be doing more marketing and can’t, if you pull back everything, you will become invisible.

Your local community is your greatest source of new business and you never want to be invisible to this core.  While you are still marketing (more cost consciously, that is), be sure to explore local marketing opportunities that you have previously overlooked (or been unable to afford) in the past.  Perhaps you wanted to sponsor a local event, sports team, etc. that was just out of reach in the past.

Have you approached the organization lately to see what sponsorship levels are currently available and at what cost?  You might be surprised to find that organizations that rely on donations (in return for marketing ad space) have changed their fee structures, entry-level sponsorships and methods with which they work with sponsors.  They, too, are feeling the results of the economic shift and still need financial backing so they are adapting to the new landscape with new offers that might appeal to your marketing budget and plan.

Give those organizations — those that you believe in and desire to support — a call or drop them an email to see what might be available that fits your marketing budget.  And, if they don’t have anything that fits your budget, ask them how they can trade some marketing for what you have budgeted to spend.  They are likely to be open to new ideas and new levels of sponsorship like never before.

Let us know how you are helping local organizations while getting marketing benefits from the partnership.
