As the housing market slows, agents are wondering what they can do to help discourage foreclosures and boost sales in their local markets.  One great service agents can provide is a free CMA for homeowners who may be in trouble or foreclosure.  CMA’s will be key in helping homeowners determine balances on their home loan(s) and what if any equity is available to them. From there homeowners can determine if they are able refinance, get a loan modification, list their home for sale or a short sale, or homeowners can apply for a short refinance. Having the CMA will open the door to the options that are available to them in lieu of foreclosure.

Assisting homeowners in their time of need with options that can help them avoid foreclosure will not only help you build relationships and hopefully future clients it will also help your local market bounce back from the housing crisis. Foreclosures help no one, being part of the solution will garner goodwill from homeowners and your community.
